My goal today will be to sumarize a good portion of Taos, primarily focusing on the town's Hisoric District. Of course, I'll be throwing in other goodies as well, being mindful to include things outside of the well visited tourist traps.

Okay, first things first, let's take a quick drive down the main drag. Unfortunately, my road tour dishes up somewhat lackluster fare. Nothing too exciting to see here, with the exception of perhaps the adobe McDonalds. I wonder, does Ronald McDonald wear a sunbraro in these parts?

The vast majority of the communities commercial architecture is adobe, no big surprises there, this is New Mexico. I wonder, it looks like adobe, but could a good portion of it be just an adobe fascade? I bet there's a building ordinance dictating adobe-like construction, especially in the Historic District.

After driving a good portion of the main drag, I change tour gears and shoot down a side street to see how the Jones' live. As expected, adobe style is evident everywhere. The vibe here in Taos is definitely primative, I'm half expecting to pass by Fred Flintstone on his way to Bedrock.
