Sorry, no travel photos today. I was out of film and my digital camera was broken.

The drive to Minneapolis, MN was uneventful but as I drew closer to my destination I grew more excited. I was going to stay with my friend Greg and his family for a couple of days. I hadn't seen Greg in over 4 years but we've kept in touch occasionally via phone/email.

The plan was to meet Greg and his wife Meri for dinner an Outback Steak House near their home. I pulled into the lot and ran across the street to get a few things from the supermarket. Upon returning I opened the van side-doors and leaned inside with my groceries. And in true form, Greg snuck up from behind me and tried to shut my legs in the doors. It was truly a Greg-style welcome. It was good to see the big guy again.

After being introduced to his wonderful wife Meri, we all settled in for some red meat, margarettas, and some serious catching-up. After dinner I followed them back to their home and Greg let me park the van in his spacious, park-like front yard. I planned to stay with them for a couple of days. I just wanted to hang out, relax and have some good conversation. And in the end that's what we did, and we all had a lot of fun!
