I wake to good weather in Mauston, WI. I have plans for a busy day but get a late start because I was lazy and slept in. The day's first stop will be Carr Valley Cheese. They usually make their cheese in the morning so I probably missed the live show. My second stop will be The House on the Rock, a strange, mystical place where imagination and creativity are the toast of the day, every day.

My driving for the day will take me due southeast through Wisconsin's Dairy Heartland. My final destination will be Chicago, IL where I have tentative plans to meet someone I met on the Internet for some biking. A few days earlier I posted a message on Chicago's www.craigslist.org under the "activity partner" category. I put out a cattle-call for anyone who is interested in meeting up with me while I'm passing through the area.
