T H E   A D I R O N D A C K S   -   D A Y   # 1

I woke to a sunny morning and felt a growing anticipation for the day, my first full day in the Adirondacks.

Curious about what Cranberry Lake looked like in the daytime, I took my campsite path to the lakeshore and was met with a really nice view of the lake, too bad I didn't have a canoe.

I would have paddled out to that little island out yonder and upon arrival, after pulling the canoe out of the water, I would have set out on a little expedition. That would have been fun. It would have made me feel like a little kid again, all wonder-eyed and expectant of great adventure.

Across the lake the trees were calling to me with their colored voices, beckoning me to start my day for they and their woody neighbors all across the Adirondacks held the keys to my upcoming colorful adventure.
