Northwestern Wyoming

So I stick around and wait...

...and wait...

...and wait... 20 minutes go by, nothing...

...then suddenly things start to get all psychedelic on me. In the distance bone white trees can be seen reaching up towards an orange, florescent sky. Overcome by feelings of joy and bliss, I can hear the soft, sweat melodies of sitar music. The beautiful music fuels my already heightened state of mine. Surely, it must be coming from the heavens above. Something big is going to happen, I think the geyser is getting ready to blow...

...and blow she does, for a whole 10 seconds!

As I walk away feeling a little disappointed, I start thinking about what had just happened. They say its the journey and not the destination that's important. Well, I suppose that's true, even if you have to stretch the truth about the journey to make a better story. Now in this case I... well, I'll let you be the judge.

Moving on, I try to capture some of the colorful bacteria described earlier. Who thought bacteria could look so good?

Here's a slime flow passing under the walkway.
