Bordering expansive Lake Pend Oreille in Northern Idaho, Sandpoint is a community build by railroad and timber interests well over 100 years ago. Since then the community has evolved into one of the most diverse small towns in the Pacific Northwest. Acclaimed as one of the best small town arts communities in America, Sandpoint offers a variety of visual and performing arts year-round. Folks from far and wide use Sandpoint as a launching point to the great outdoors. In and near Sandpoint one can easily find facilities and services supporting many local activities including skiing, biking, hiking, camping, and boating.

Primarily leveraged as a launching point for my nearby mountain biking venue, my stay in Sandpoint was limited to car-camping, swimming in the lake, and touring the town's city beach area.

I'm now crossing the 2 mile bridge into Sandpoint, come join me for my little tour of this quaint little township.
