Taos, New Mexico is a delightful small town located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northern New Mexico. It is home to a diverse and vibrant community of artists, entrepreneurs, and outdoor enthusiasts. The town has a rich history as centuries-old adobe buildings line the downtown area, with many of the buildings being listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The area has many attractions for tourists to explore, including the Taos Plaza, where visitors can explore the galleries and shops, as well as the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, which spans the Rio Grande River and provides stunning views of the surrounding landscape.

For those looking to explore the great outdoors, Taos offers a variety of activities, ranging from skiing and snowboarding at Taos Ski Valley to mountain biking, kayaking, and fishing at the nearby Wheeler Peak. Additionally, the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument is a popular destination for hikers, with its vast expanse of desert and mountain landscapes.

Taos is also home to unique culinary experiences, such as the Taos Farmers Market, where visitors can find freshly made goods from local farmers and vendors, as well as an array of restaurants offering both traditional New Mexican cuisine and more diverse options.

I'm about ready to tour the town's Historic District and surrounding community. Come with me and see for yourself what Taos has to offer.
