Bighorn National Forest is located in Northern Wyoming and is comprised of 189,000 acres of varying terrain. This forest holds a variety of sights including lush grasslands, alpine meadows, crystal-clear lakes, rolling hills, sheer mountain walls, and glacial carved valleys. The Big Horn Mountains lie smack in the middle of the preserve and are considered a "sister range" to the Rocky Mountains.

My time at Bighorn will be spent in the van, I'm just driving through on my way to Devil's Monument. According to my map, I'll be passing through many of the landscape offerings described above, from grasslands to rolling hills to sheer mountain walls. It promises to be rather beautiful place.

I'm entering the western extent of Bighorn now. As I drive along I can see someone trying to hitch a ride and as I slow down the van I can see that it is..... you! So please hop in and let's enjoy the scenic views of Bighorn together.
