While biking the Lewis River Trail, my first bike trail of the trip, I look down and to my surprise, I notice my wireless bike computer has popped out of its holder. It must be somewhere behind me, possibly near the trailhead. Should I go back and try to find the needle in the haystack? Well of course I should. Earlier on I was hitting the tree roots and rocks pretty hard and fast, the odds are good it popped off-trail there and is now hiding from view somewhere in the greenery. I misplaced my wallet earlier today, only to find it hiding under my bedspread after an extensive, bullet-sweating search. Maybe lady luck is still smiling down upon me?
Fortunately, I manage to find it not far from where I first noticed it missing. It's laying in the middle of the trail. Indeed, lady luck is certainly taking a fancy to me today.
