Have you ever broken, wrecked, or bent something that you didn't find out about until later? Well, I think that is what has happened here. Three weeks ago, while driving around Southern Maine, I recall backing the van and hitting a guardrail. Oops! I stop, get out, and inspect the bikes and find no damage to speak of. Funny, looking at the bike today, I quickly notice the badly bent rim, how could I have missed that!?!

Jumping two days forward in time, before replacing the damaged rim with a $40 used rim, I feel the need to test ride the bike, just to make sure nothing else is broken.

Click on any or all of the images above to watch video taken from my diagnostic test ride.

Oh well, regardless of how the rim was bent, it has to be fixed. No worries, within short order the bike is back to its good ole self again. The rims no longer match, but, who really cares! I certainly don't. As they say, embrace diversity!
