MOOSE  OF  A  DIFFERENT  COLOR

Coeur D'Alene, Idaho

Wednesday, July 21, 2004

The male moose are rather different in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho compared to other parts of the country. Apparently there's pressure to look flashy for the females? Some moose wish to express pure masculine speed via flames while others wish to simply show their more sensitive side with colorful murals and bright quiltings. If you ask me, I think the female moose are probably a little alarmed by all this. I could have sworn I saw a female moose trying to attract the attentions of a confused looking elk. Must be they've decided to jump the fence to graze in greener, more sane, albeit genetically challenging, pastures.
