By chance, I encounter this oddity when leaving the parking lot of small town park in Cody, Wyoming. I do a quick double-take, thinking I'm seeing things but I'm not, someone or perhaps many people have written on the truck with black marker. Upon further investigation, I determine the truck belongs to Kevin. Kevin and his buddies Chris and Marc, all from Olympia, Washington, are passing through on their way to Key West, Florida.
The idea was hatched by Chris two weeks ago, and in that time, they've managed to acquire enough no-holds-barred prose, artwork, and whatever else you'd like to call it, to fill all surfaces. But, there's still room to squeeze in so much more, according to Chris. Chris goes on to explain their plan for the pick-up. They will continue to collect additional writings from the public-at-large as the three travel to Florida. Once they arrive, they will get the truck clear-coated to preserve the written word. One day, he hopes to put the truck on public display at a permanent site in Key West. He also wants to do the same thing, but on a larger scale, with a tractor-trailer.
They ask me if I want to sign the truck and I say "sure, why not." Comparatively, I pen a far tamer tagline than most. I just write "Be adventurous, the world is waiting - www.jeffsadventure.com."
