While touring the Porter-Parsonsfield Historical Bridge near Porter, Maine, I manage to capture the surrounding scenery in the van's side window. The tinted glass creates a really nice contrast between window and trees of orange, yellow, and red. At first notice, I do a double-take, half-thinking someone snuck-up behind me and hung a picture on my van. It's sorta like one of those neon paint on black velvet jobs. You know, the ones they sell at those seedy roadside stands, pictures of Elvis, unicorns, Jesus, whatever.

Too bad I can't take it with me. Well, I have I suppose, I took this picture. But, to leave this place and still have it there on the van window for all to see, now that would be something worth paying for. Or better yet, if somehow I could rotate between the various images, all pulled directly from my cross-country travels. For example, I see a nice reflection of the Grand Tetons in the window, I press a button, then BAM! I've added that picture to my van's window image rotation.

I don't know what's more odd, the image on my van's window or the wellspring of strange ideas it has ushered to the forefront of my imagination.
