Looking for an out-of-this-world while in-this-world experience? Yes? Well, all you have to do is go to Washington, D.C. At the Smithsonian Institution's Air & Space Museum at the National Mall, in Milestones of Flight gallery, you too can experience a little piece of the Moon.

In 1972, astronauts aboard Apollo 17 returned to earth with 4 billion samples of Moon rock... oh wait... samples of 4 billion year old rock. Sorry, feeling the Moon has gotten me all giddy! Funny thing, the Moon sample is black. Ummm, last time I heard, the Moon is made of cheese and cheese isn't normally black. Plus, the shape of this Moon sample is triangular and looks artificial. What's going on here? Could it be the Moon is really made of dark chocolate? Is this remnant that of a triangular alien candy bar?

If this is indeed an alien candy bar, you can be rest assured that I don't be eating it. Just think about the millions of hands that have touched it over the years. Yuck!
