New Orleans, Louisiana

Friday, November 12, 2004

What the? I must say, the French Quarter in New Orleans, LA certainly has some of the most interesting shops I've seen. Take this one, the Masquerade Fantasy. Here you'll find all your leather mask needs, whether you need one to rob a bank, attend a halloween party, or maybe just hide your identity from the FBI because they're hot on your trail. Hmmm, or are their other uses for such specialized apparel?

In certain circles I've heard, and have never actually experienced, mind you, that some folks like to get dressed in leather, and I mean completely in leather, from head to toe. Why? Because they're going motorcycling? Or is it fetish related? New Orleans is definitely a pretty wild town, so I'm guessing it's fetish related. S & M, bondage, dominatrix, torture, and I'm sure even more bizarre stuff.

It's all good, right? Different strokes for different folks, embrace diversity, and all that jazz. I definitely fall into the category of leather mask curious, but, I'd never actually wear an all leather suit with accompanying dog face mask and let a dominatrix ride on my back with boots and spurs because... the spurs would hurt. Minus the spurs? Well, maybe? Woof woof!
