Offering a variety of sights and activities for the young and old, the Southern Maine Coast is the perfect place for summertime fun. Wide sandy beaches welcome visitors from near and far, effectively providing the catalyst for spectacular scenery that is further complemented by points, bluffs, bays, inlets, harbors, and of course, the Atlantic Ocean.

You'll find eye-pleasing architecture in and around quaint coastal villages, including Kittery, The Yorks, The Kennebunks, Ogunquit, Wells, and Old Orchard Beach. If shopping is your bag, there are plenty of opportunities to get your fix at a multitude of shops, the pinnacle of commerce being the Kittery Outlets. Seafood is king here in Maine, so, not surprisingly, the area offers all sorts of fish and crustacean delectables, both expensive and on the cheap.

Fishing, swimming, sailing, kayaking, camping, hiking; there are plenty of activities available for the outdoor enthusiast. Year-round you'll always find something going on here -- cultural events, seasonal festivals, museums, nightlife, and theater.
