After a pleasant ferry ride I arrive at Friday Harbor where things for me start to wind down.

I must say, today was good road trip day. The van ran flawlessly and no icebergs were encountered on the way to the island. Once off the ferry and upon solid ground, I drive around town for a looksee, then park the van not far from city center where I settle in for the evening.

Tomorrow promises to be a big day for me, it'll hold court to my trip's first road biking tour. The ride I've planned is 50 miles in distance, its lengthy stretches will take me through a good portion of the island's popular offerings.
