My many days of heads-down travel writing has finally come to an end, it is now time put rubber to the road and leave the Walmart parking lot, my overnight safety net that saved me from falling into the abyss of late night wake-up calls. Wake-up calls courtesy of the police, of course.

Today will be a day of touring. As part of my pre-trip planning, I crack open my Let's Go Travel Guide to its write-up on Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory.

Today's road trip is promising to be a long one. My plans are to drive from Burlington, VT to Acadia National Park, located on a large island at the Maine Coast. On the way I'll swing into Waterbury, VT to checkout Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream Factory.

After saying goodbye to my parking lot neighbors, I head out.

On the way out I notice one of the RVs has this huge dragonfly on its grill. In the past I've seen everything from Christmas wreaths to cow horns but never a dragonfly. I find myself wishing I had one for my van.
