On my way back to the van with a grocery cart full of food and sundries, I make the acquaintance of Joe. Joe seems a bit worse for wear, handicapped and looking homeless, he walks slowly with the assistance of a walker. As I load the van with my groceries, he shuffles his way towards me from the dark recesses of the parking lot. Initially, I think he's going to ask me for a handout, but to my surprise, he only wants a ride.

After giving Joe a short ride, I take leave of him and head to the local Walmart for my overnight. I cook dinner then travel write for a while before retiring for the evening.
