Massachusetts

Provincetown is now primarily a tourist destination. A large gay and lesbian population now calls Provincetown home, and with them a culture rich in art and theatrical performance has evolved.

As I pass through town, a few of the shops make me laugh, like this one, Spank the Monkey. I wonder what they sell in that establishment? S & M apparel?

Next stop? Cape Cod National Seashore. Herring Cove Beach to get specific.

Upon arrival I walk around a bit, then collect a few of the more colorful rocks on the beach. Across the way about 20 miles is the mainland. The mainland seems to be elevation-challenged, I can't really make it out.

Modern sand art, created by Mother Nature.
