Hmmm... The weather is overcast, I wonder if rain is in the forecast? No matter, I'll be spending most of my time today indoors at the Capitol. Today will be my last touring day in Washington, D.C. I'll end things with a bang by touring the U.S. Capitol, U.S. Botanic Gardens, the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. In the evening, I have plans to have dinner with Lindsay. I met her more than two months ago while mountain biking near the Grand Tetons in Wyoming. As luck would have it, she just happens to live in Washington, D.C.

A carbon copy from yesterday and the day before, my route to the train station, College Park - University of MD Station, is short and sweet.

My commute to the Capitol via van and train is over and done with in short order.

I make my way to the U.S. Capitol Building. On the way I pass by a multitude of government buildings as well as this lady who's protesting the management practices of the Social Security Fund.

The U.S. Capitol Building is now in plain view, as well as all of it's associated construction equipment. At present they're working on the new Capitol Visitor Center.
