Northern Wyoming

I jump in the van and head on down the road. After a little driving I come to this viewpoint. It's a view of the Bighorn Basin. I'm pretty high up so the visibility isn't the greatest, I'm in the clouds so to speak. Here are some of the viewpoint's supporting placards.

Back in the van again, I encounter this interesting rock formation along the roadside. I stop and while readying the camera for the picture I'm startled to see someone immediately behind me. Yikes! I snap the picture and drive on. I eventually pull over to let the guy by and he floors the gas to exhibit his anger. Oops! Sorry! I'm usually pretty good about not being a gawking tourist but that rock formation caught me off guard, my bad.

I finally make it to the top of the pass. Here is some of the geography. Not very exciting actually.

More placards along the way.

Yowza, I'm pretty darn high! 9,430 feet!
