At the center of town, where Drake, Pearl and Main Streets form a triangular park, you will find this nice gazebo. This was here last time I visited but wasn't when I moved away to Buffalo, NY in 1985. They really did a nice job with the construction and have kept up the maintenance. I hear this triangle park is the hub of activity every year for the festival they have (sorry, I don't remember its name).
Continuing on Pearl Street I cross over Main Street. I recall this house is my favorite in town and it still looks great.
I continue on Pearl Street until I came upon the un-marked bowling alley. Not sure why there isn't a sign. I guess in a small town like Oakfield everyone knows where it is so why bother spending money on a sign. The bowling alley is the last building in the third picture. This end of Pearl Street is a bit run-down, more run-down than I remember it to be.
I then take Orchard Street to South Main Street and head back into town.
