This house is right next to my old house. Mrs. Stevens used to lived here, a little old lady who paid me in 3-Musketeer Bars for shoveling her sidewalk in the winter. After we moved away she died and the property fell into poor hands and was really run into the ground. So much so it was condemned. Fortunately someone picked up the house for a song and a dance and has since completely refurbished it.

This house is across the street from ours. Mrs. Sliker and her son Norman lived there. Norman was the town drunk and we had the misfortune of being his neighbor. The dude was pretty nuts, some of the things he would do and say. He was harmless but annoying. But other times he would be a good source of entertainment. His name still comes up once in a while during family gatherings.

Here's the sign marking the up and coming curve in the street. We used to use it as a target when throwing snowballs.

Here's the house I grew up in. For the longest time it was yellow with green shutters but near the end we painted it as you see it here. Dad put on the addition to the right, that added a full bathroom, a vaulted family room, and a fireplace. He really did a great job. The house was build in the late 1800s and in the basement you could see the rough, heavy timbers with accompanying axe marks.
