Three benches ring the memorial's periphery and provide a sitting place for rest and reflection.

Retail spaces ring the plaza's perimeter where you'll find everything from clothing to restaurants to hotels. Surely I'll be sucked into the tourist vortex if I'm not careful.

Apparently this slouching tourist has been sucked into the vortex, the poor fellow appears to be stranded on the bench.

Ah Ha! I was right when earlier in the tour I said many of these buildings have adobe facades. Here's proof. There's a foam interior, the outside is just a thin layer of rigid material that mimics adobe.

A stone's throw from Taos Plaza I spy Casa Benavides Inn. This bed and breakfast is one of the larger ones I've seen in town.
