Here's the "safe" neighborhood I find myself in after being chased out of another, more upscale neighborhood the evening before by the police.

The above map looks a bit crazy. Fast-forwarding to the evening, the day started by driving due southwest out of Rapid City to Mount Rushmore. From Rushmore I continued due southwest to Jewel Cave, then capped off the day with some frustrating driving in search of a good place to van-camp. In the end, I find myself back in Rapid City again, much to my displeasure.

Rewinding back to the morning, the drive starts out pretty boring.
