I spend the morning travel writing. As the sun moves across my campsite I'm forced to move the van to the other side to stay in the shade. During my stay I'll have to repeat this routine every day.

To break up my travel writing monotony I decide to tour Lake Michigan's southern lakeshore, located not far from the campground.

Click here for more detail (and pictures) of my tour of Indiana Dunes National Park.

After completing my little tour I fix a hearty meal of chicken and vegetables. I really hit paydirt with the chicken. It was on special and really cheap. I was a little leery at first when I spotted it, wondering why it was more than 1/2 the price of the surrounding chicken. But the expiration date was still in the future so I jumped on it. The chicken turns out to be really tasty, it is marinated with Caribbean spices.

After dinner I spend the rest of the evening travel writing then retire for the evening.
