I finally make it back to the red tree. It caught my eye earlier not only because it's red, but also because it's next to an old graveyard. Having an overactive imagination, I see the tree as living off the dearly departed, being that it's located so close to their final resting place. It looks as if it has feasted on the blood of the dead. Now bloated, the blood has crept from root to leaf. Yeah, that's a rather sick thought, but that's what comes to mind when I look at it.

I take many shots of the tree's leaves on a gravestone background. You know what? I actually wouldn't mind being "eaten" by a tree. Think about it for a minute. If you're absorbed, the bits and pieces of you are contributing to life once again. It's sorta like organ donation I suppose. So, maybe in addition to being an organ donor as I am now, in my Will I'll need to specify the burial of my ashes next to a glorious oak tree. Doing so would certainly facilitate a heightened and colorful send-off, what better way to leave this world than through nature's fall fanfare!
