Churches in this strand of the Bible Belt are as numerous as the countryside's rolling hills. This is just a small sampling of the many churches I pass during my trek. Most display a catchy phrase on their front lawn signs. Fishermen of souls these institutions are, they hope to net themselves new parishioners by fear or otherwise. The most interesting tagline is "Stop, Drop and Roll Won't Work in Hell."

Horses are scattered about within Tennessee's wide open spaces. Some horse ranches are small and inviting, others are expansive and exude wealth and priviledge. The most famous breed of horse from these parts is the Tennessee Walker. This gentle, multipurpose breed wears many hats (or is that saddles), from high spirited show horse to smooth-riding trail mount.
