Washington, D.C.

Around the rim of the Pool of Remembrance I find the following inscriptions (American/U.N.):

Dead Missing Captured Wounded
54,246 / 628,833 8,177 / 470,267 7,140 / 92,970 103,204 / 1,064,453

My visit to the Pool of Remembrance concludes my tour of the Korean War Veterans Memorial. I enjoyed all of the Memorial's hidden symbolism and atypical sculpture work. The Memorial does a good job of commemorating not only the American soldiers at the warfront, but also the American military support personnel, as well as the other 21 countries that participated under the U.N. flag. All in all, it's a damn good memorial.

I rate my tour of the Korean War Veterans Memorial a solid 4.5 thumbs-up, a near perfect rating.
