As I tour deeper and deeper into the inlet community, an unusual feeling pours over me. The buildings have an odd Blade Runner appeal to them. Sterile and futuristic, they are all aligned to perfection, like glass dominoes teetering on the edge of catastrophe. I imagine them to be residences of a utopian society, where modern science trumps all else. I have to admit, this new feeling is rather addictive, drawing me in and making me wish I lived here.

At a distance I notice something that looks like a mammoth water bug. Upon closer inspection it turns out to be just a metal sculpture.

As I continue on I find myself sharing the path with a multitude of rollerbladers. Rollerblading is very popular in Vancouver, more so than biking.

Cruise ship services are available to those interested in a quick, out-and-back English Bay jaunt.

Bridges are abundant in Vancouver. Here's the Granville and Burrard Bridges respectively.
