Chinatown's streets are lined with small shops selling everything from food to clothing to books to records.


As I browse around I'm rather impressed by the odd variety of food for sale. Most of it was probably imported from China, that's why it's so foreign-looking to me. I'm not sure what food is represented in the third photo. Is it a portion of a goat's jaw? Lord knows, but whatever it is it kinda freaks me out.



Moving on, I encounter ornate tile work near the Chinese Cultural Centre on Pender Street. Arranged in a big circle, all 12 animals of the Chinese Calendar are represented in intricate detail.
