Hey, there they are! People in balconies with beads, beckoning people in the street to do naughty things for their beads. Funny, nobody is taking them up on their offers. It must be too early in the evening, not enough alcohol has been consumed.

All this talk about alcohol has made me thirsty. I think it's time for me to start consuming it. The bars here on Bourbon Street always run really cheap beer specials. The bar I'm in tonight, the Cats Meow, is selling 3 beers for $3. Yes, you heard that right, 3 beers for $3. Fast-forwarding my evening, I manage to drink 9 beers. Yikes! I don't drink much to begin with and soon I'll have to ride my bike back to the van. Needless to say, when I journey back to the van I won't be feeling much pain.

Karaoke is pretty popular here in the French Quarter. After buying my first 3 beers I settle into the Cats Meow to check things out. Most of the singers are pretty good. I think I'll stay for a while.

While drinking my beer and listening to Karaoke, someone taps me on the shoulder. Turning around I meet Rene and Charlie. In town to watch a college football game, Rene wants to know why I'm holding 3 beers at once. After informing him of the great beer special, I chat with them for a bit and quickly discover they're a whole lot of fun!
