Obviously, the campground is a bust. So plan B swings into action and I drive to the next northerly park where I station myself at Leddy Park.

Click here for more detail (and pictures) of my Lake Champlain Tour.

After completing my tour, on my way back to the van, I notice this strange tree amputation. The tree is so entwined it couldn't be removed without damaging the chain-link fence. Interesting.

Off in the distance I spy a pile of white something-or-other. Upon closer inspection it turns out to be a pile of ice shavings, there must be an ice arena in the park. Funny, earlier I had walked by the building and hadn't noticed it.

Back in the van, I stay for a while travel writing. When it grows dark I drive back to Walmart, cook dinner, write a little more, then retire for the evening. Ahhhh yes, the extremely exciting life of a travel writer.
