This portion of the hike is panning out to be a bit dreary. Light tries to poke through the trees with little success.

Finally we run into other fellow hikers. There aren't many people on the trail today.

There's Monica, all heads-down and steaming up the path.

Finally, we reach a point in the trail where we can see out of the forest.

The further up the mountain we go, the more rocky the terrain gets.
