Tennessee/North Carolina Border

Looking back to the west, we have the reds, oranges, and yellows of the same spectrum. Funny, where are the greens? I'm afraid they're getting pretty much getting screwed in the deal. Wouldn't that be cool, green hightlights in the sky!

Feeling a certain sympathy for green, my favorite color, I've assembled this edited photo to demonstrate what green might look like if it didn't always draw the short end of the sunset stick.

Ahhh, here's a nice panorama, all stitched together for your viewing pleasure.

Standing around at 6,000 feet above sea level in early November for almost an hour as the sun goes down is a great way to get really chilled. With freezing hands and cold feet, I jump into the van to warm up a bit.

Sufficiently thawed out, I make a mad dash to the edge of the parking lot to snap my last batch of pictures before the sun completely surrenders to the horizon.
