Here is a view out one of the windows. I think it would be better to experience this from the outside...

...and this is my way to the outside. Yes, they do let folks experience the ski jump from the jumper's point of view, if only from the starting point.

I enter through a side door and climb up a flight of metal stairs.


On my way up I learn something new. The height of the launch point is adjustable via an adjustable platform. I always thought the ski jump height was fixed.

Here's the view looking down the 120-meter ski jump. It's my understanding that at any given time when the ski jumper is airborne they are at most 10 feet off the ground. But based on typical camera angles, you'd think they are far higher. However, going more than 60 miles per hour 10 feet off the ground scares the hell out of me. Heck, I'd be afraid to do that in a car with a roll cage let alone with just two boards strapped to my feet. Ski jumpers are certified nuts!
