Many lake access options are available from Burlington, VT. After consulting my GPS software, I decide upon Leddy Park. After arriving at the park's entrance, I drive westward toward the lakeshore, then park the van.

The Burlington Bikeway cuts straight through the western section of the park and traverses south through Burlington's downtown waterfront. I think it's something like 9 miles long. Quite a few people are using the bikepath as I pass over it on my way to the lakeshore.

I make my way through sparse forest before encountering a short stairway leading to the lake's narrow beachfront.
