Turning my attention to the wondrous, surrounding views, I notice that compass signs were kindly erected around the shelter house to help the directionally challenged. Metered binoculars, with placards indicating where to look for surrounding sights, are provided for the sightseeing enthusiast.

Turning my attention to the weather station, weather instrumentation abounds, either attached to the station or located near its base.

From the weather station I venture out onto the barren mountaintop to get my fill of the scenery.
