Sandpoint, Idaho

I start to lose all hope of ever getting to the promised viewpoint when suddenly a blinding light hits me from up on ahead. Is this the viewpoint?

I dismount my bike then walk into the light with great anticipation. Once the temporary blindness caused by the bright sunlight leaves me I discover that yes, indeed, I have found the promised viewpoint.

And what a beautiful viewpoint it is.

I sit there for a while enjoying the view. All the exhausting effort to get here has been well worth it. Proving to me once again that ya gotta work hard, sometimes real hard, to have good things happen. And usually the harder the effort, the greater the reward. This viewpoint supports that belief very well indeed.

Regretfully, I get back on the bike and continue on up the trail. The trail's slope is less now and I'm able to continue upward without taking any breaks.
