Sandpoint, Idaho

After some downhill I break out of the forest and catch another nice view.

I dive back into the forest for more downhill singletrack. I'm really loving life right now. As I progress I gain more confidence and ride faster and faster.

Breaking out of the forest once again and onto FR 2642, I turn left and ride uphill a ways back to the first singletrack, the singletrack that brought me up to this magical, heightened place.

There is a small break in the treeline with a view from up on high.

More uphill on FR 2642, some of it is rather steep. After some effort I finally arrive at my singletrack ticket to downhill fun. At this point I'll be backtracking on the singletrack that brought me up here. Since it's repeat territory, I securely tuck away my camera, my concentration is now fully focused on the up-and-coming downhill action. The climax of my trip is at hand. Sure, the views are nice, but they are only the thin icing, now is time for some serious downhill singletrack cake.
