L O G A N P A S S
Glacier National Park Northwestern Montana
Along my route there are sections of fallen rock and washed away road. Here is the first of many times I have to stop and wait for oncoming traffic to clear. On this rebuilt section I'm given zero opportunities to snap a shot or two, the cars are too close behind me, breathing down my neck as I peddle my way through.
I arrive at Heaven's Peak and notice the adjacent forest that was decimated by fire a few years ago. Apparently many areas of the park were touched by the fires.
After a tight hairpin turn the view switches to my right side. The shoulderless road then mockes me, offering me only a short rock wall as protection against certain disaster. The traffic starts to pick up a bit at this point, fortunately no one is in a hurry and everyone gives me a wide berth. It's funny to hear folks shout "Go Lance Go" as they pass by. I enjoy their shouts of encouragement for they inspire me to push on. I guess wearing the yellow jersy has given them the idea.
This falls isn't as spectacular as the sign attests. It is more a steep stream than a waterfall.
