Off in the distance I see a large cooling tower. Is this a nuclear power plant? Nope, it's just a coal burning electrical power plant. I'm a little surprised by my disappointment. I guess recreating near a nuclear power plant seems more exciting and dramatic.
The beach environment supports a variety of vegetation.
Here's a view of Mt. Baldy from the beach. As you can see it's quite expansive. "Mt. Baldy is a 'live' dune that marram grass and cottonwood trees cannot hold in place. Mt. Baldy's dynamics become evident if you view it today, next month, and next year."
There are a number of boats on the lake.
