I finally arrive at the Fountain Paint Pot Area Trail. Unfortunately, the parking lot is jammed full of cars. I circle the lot twice then have a real strong flash-back. Back in the day when I was going to college, it was always a fight to get a parking spot, especially when I was late for class. But today I quickly give up and park it on the roadside, an option not available to me in my college days.

After completing the trail I walk back to a less-filled parking lot. I'm a little surprised. I hope I'm not going to run into this parking problem again at my next major site, the Old Faithful Area Trail.

Not far down the road I find the exit for Old Faithful and other interesting geysers.

On the way I decide to first check out the Old Faithful Inn. My travel book tells me the Inn has a geyser prediction board that helps you decide which geysers to see first based on their predicted eruption times. Now that would be helpful.
