Swampland gives way to solid ground again.

Gambling seems to be rather popular in this area.

A bridge takes me up and over Lake Charles.

There's quite a few large oil refineries here in Lake Charles, LA. Such facilities are rather fascinating to me. Petroleum distillation is a fairly complicated process.

I'm nearing the Louisiana/Texas State border now.

Finally, I reach the state line. I'm now officially in Texas.

I reach Houston, TX by nightfall. After getting a little lost (it's a big city, after all), I find my way to a Walmart where I settle in for the evening. Before hitting the hay I spend a good amount of time travel writing into the wee hours of the morning. I'm looking forward to tomorrow's touring venue. I have plans to visit the Johnson Space Center, home of space rockets, space research and development, and NASA Mission Control.
