Yellowstone National Park
Northwestern Wyoming

I've gained a bit of height so far, the view is trying to show itself.

My destination, Bunsen Peak. As you can see, the hiking will get harder after I pass through a low-lying forest that was part of the 1988 burn but has since bounced back with new growth.

A view of the road in and out of the area. Wow, part of the road is really a type of bridge? Are there earthquakes in Yellowstone?

I pass through the low-lying forest.

The devastation of the past fire shows its full face as I continue up the mountain.
