Yellowstone National Park Northwestern Wyoming
The views are getting better as I plod along.
Some of the trail is rocky, other parts are compacted soil.
The first "official" viewpoint. I think the finger-like formation in the left photo is interesting.
At the viewpoint I meet Brian. Turns out Brian is from Portland, Maine (I'm from Portland, Oregon) and he is on a cross-country trip with bike in tow as well. We both think this is a funny coincidence. He invites me to hike with him so we continue on up the trail together.
