I'm ready for my next mission, to hike atop Mount Marcy. Mount Marcy is the highest peak in NY State, standing a tall 5,280 feet above sea level. Isn't that the number of feet in a mile? Mount Marcy was more than 7 miles away and just a whole bunch of feet up.
Have you ever snowshoed? It's a blast. You can go just about anywhere you want with no snow getting jammed up your pant legs.
Ahhh geeze, what a bunch of bike-haters. Does this mean tricycles and unicycles are allowed? So how about a riding lawn mower? I don't see a sign barring that.
OOOOH COME ON! They let the bears out at dusk? Well that scraps my plans to run around at night with peanut butter and salmon guts smeared all over my clothes. Now they've -really- taken all the fun out of my Adirondack experience. Just way too many rules in this place. First the no bike rule, now this. When will this insanity end?
