Adirondack State Park
Upstate New York

I encounter another one of those "this is where I'll be if I get lost and have waited in vain for someone to come rescue me but no one came so I died a horrible death and you finally unlocked the registration drop box to find out where I went so you can find my dead body" Registration Huts.

A sign to aid our French Canadian neighbors.

All along my route up Mount Marcy I'll be guided by these blue trail markers. The Park Service does a great job of marking the trail. Thanks folks!

The pond created by Marcy Dam.

I think this is Algonquin Peak but it might be Wright Peak. I climbed Algonquin years ago, it's more than 5,000 feet tall.

From Marcy Dam I start out once again to Mount Marcy.
