Northwestern Wyoming
After thoroughly enjoying the views I head back to the van by backtracking the South Rim Trail.
On the way back I come across this peaceful, little meadow. I hadn't notice it earlier on my way to Artist Point, too worried about beating the sun.
I stop off at one of the platforms along the trail for one last view of the canyon. The canyon is such a special place, I'm a little sad that I have to leave.
It's getting late and the sun is setting.
As I leave the Canyon Area, I take a few shots of Yellowstone River as it carries water on its way over two falls and down more than 400 feet.
What can I say, the pictures say it all. This is a gorgeous place. I'm speechless.
I rate my tour of Yellowstone's Canyon Area a perfect 5 thumbs-up!
